How To Make The ‘Tumble Bee’ Hanging Mobile

Inside each Tumble Bee CD and LP is a DIY mini mobile kit. Here Laura gives us some pointers on how to craft it!

Pick up a copy in the Raven Marching Band Boutique by Wed November 3rd to get yours signed and delivered by the release date Nov 8th (in N. America).

Some fresh advance praise:

“There are times her voice is so beautiful I get a lump in my throat as in the languid and mysterious Prairie Lullaby. But lest you think this is a slow-moving lullaby CD, keep listening and things pick up with songs like Jack Can I Ride? and the dizzying tongue-twister Jump Down Spin Around, with backup singers who sound like they are having too much fun….She even has vinyl, be still my retro heart.”

“‘Tumble Bee’ a revelation.  I already want to buy four copies for the young families I know here in town. Why shouldn’t music for children be music that we want to hear too, with interesting instruments and arrangements?  Any of these songs could be on one of Laura’s records and you wouldn’t necessarily hear them as ‘children’s’ music.  It’s more than the sum of it’s parts. I can absolutely play this record!!”

Astonishing to hear Laura talking about Peggy Seeger. Ewan MacColl left Joan Littlewood for Peggy. Ewan and Joan were the parents of (the late and dearly missed) Kirsty MacColl who is one of my other favourite female folk singers. Small world!
